Children attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder: contemporary approach to diagnostics and correction.

For successful child’s learning there is a need for optimal cognitive functions: attention, memory and thinking. According to different authors cognition 6-24% of children who start attending school are not ready to cooperate their behavior with generally accepted demands. These things are typical to these children: attention concentration disorder, unstable memory, higher distraction tendency and lower work abilities in school and home. In medicine this kind of distractions are named as attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Chronic expression of this disorder creates stable disgust feeling about school, in spite of intellectual level of child.

Social importance of this problem is caused by this distraction intensity rising in teenager age of these children. Teenagers with hyperactivity join the risk group of antisocial actions, breaking the law, alcoholism and drug addiction. The objective of this research was analysis of two age range group (5/6 and 7/8 years) central and peripheral blood flow. Research discovered that both: preschool age children and 1 st grade children increased lability in central and peripheral blood flow. It is typical that sight, speech and sound irritators for hyperactive children were picked up as stress influence, which caused peripheral blood flow (with vasodilation process prevalation) and central blood flow disorders. The last mentioned is characterized as brain frontal lobe functional deficit , which leads to mistakes in information processing, attention weakening, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Controlled regulation of functional state is common for 50-60% cases of 7-8 years old children.

Till last years standard therapy for treating ADHD was medication therapy which didn’t exclude getting used to medication. In last ten years functional bioregulation after vegetative indicators and EEG is used for non-medication treatment of children.
